Last week I attended the 10th World eDemocracy Forum in Paris. A very interesting part of the forum was the presentation of projects which have been nominated for the various awards. Among them was the Online Activism Institute, an US based project providing web-based training, mentoring and resources to empower women leaders in the Middle East and North Africa. The institute has been selected as one of PoliticsOnline 2009 “Top 10 Who Are Changing the World of Internet and Politics”. I had the opportunity to talk to Eleana Gordon, who founded the project. Here is what she said:
